Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Hotel Isabel in Guadalajara, I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and comfort that awaited me. The staff truly set the stage for a welcoming atmosphere, especially Edgar at the front desk, who made check-in a breeze while sharing a laugh about my Spanish skills. The location is a gem! Nestled in a tranquil neighborhood with tree-lined streets, I loved the short strolls to nearby dog-friendly cafes and markets where traditional tacos reign supreme. With my partner by my side and our furry friend in tow, we enjoyed evenings by the outdoor pool, surrounded by lush gardens—a perfect way to unwind after exploring the city. While it isn't a five-star experience, the cozy, clean rooms and attentive housekeeping made it feel like a little slice of home. What I valued most was the hotel’s commitment to providing excellent service without the frills, allowing us to enjoy all the essentials at an unbeatable price. If you're looking for a chill escape with your loved ones, Hotel Isabel is definitely worth a visit!
